About Society of Auditor-Appraisers

The Society of Auditor-Appraisers was founded in 1968 and is a professional organization of ad valorem tax professionals throughout the United States who have joined together:

  • To increase their knowledge and capabilities as auditors and as appraisers.
  • To share information derived from the broad experience of the membership in order to keep current in our changing times.
  • To receive professional recognition both for themselves as individuals and for the profession as a whole.

Local chapters have been established for the purpose of providing members in local areas with the opportunity for close cooperation and to help meet the objectives of the Society.

The society offers a Certification Program to give recognition to the levels of experience, education, and proficiency attained by the Regular, Affiliate and Retired members.
